Refund policy

Effective 2 November 2026

This policy applies to motorcycles, parts and accessories bought from DG Electric Mobility (Pty) Ltd, trading as Tromox SA (tromoxsa.com). It does not limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).

1. Cancelling an online order

  • You may cancel an online order without reason within 7 days of delivery (ECTA section 44). The item must be returned unused, in its original condition and packaging.
  • A motorcycle counts as used once it has been ridden, registered or licensed.
  • You pay the cost of returning the item. We refund the purchase price within 30 days of the cancellation.
  • After this 7-day period, we do not accept returns of goods you have simply changed your mind about.

2. Faulty goods (first 6 months)

  • Goods must be free of defects for 6 months from delivery (CPA section 56). If something is faulty in that time, you can choose a repair, a replacement or a refund.
  • Please tell us as soon as you notice a fault and send photos where possible. We may need to inspect the item.
  • During these 6 months, we arrange and pay for collection of a faulty motorcycle.

3. Repairs after 6 months

  • After 6 months, the manufacturer’s warranty applies. See the warranty documentation supplied with your bike for what it covers.
  • If a motorcycle needs to come back to us for a warranty or other repair, you arrange and pay for transport by a reputable motorcycle courier.

4. Damage in transit

Inspect your delivery on arrival and note any visible damage on the delivery note. Report damage or missing items to us within 48 hours so we can claim from the carrier. This does not affect your 6-month CPA rights.

5. Not covered

  • Bikes built or modified to your specific order, unless faulty.
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, lack of maintenance or unauthorised modifications.

6. How to return or report a fault

Email info@tromoxsa.com or call 083 654 7438 with your order number and the problem. We reply within 2 business days with next steps. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
